Description
Stay in scenic surroundings, hunt for roe deer bucks, and fish for trout and arctic char in August. The terrain has no cultivated land of its own but borders farm fields and is otherwise highly varied with lowlands, high mountains, valleys, and marshes. Fishing is possible. The offer includes a quota of 2 roe deer bucks, with meat included. A local tracking dog agreement is included. Hunting season for roe deer buck: August 10th - December 23rd.
About the terrain
The territory spans approximately 600 hectares, located on the border between Aure and Heim municipalities. 400 hectares are protected as a nature reserve. This is a demanding but beautiful landscape — perfect for those who wish to hunt in untouched nature, are physically fit, and enjoy a challenge. Fishing opportunities are available. Accommodation is available at an off-grid mountain farmstead within the hunting ground (6 beds) or at a farm with full facilities approximately 10 km away (9 beds). Gammelsetra
Two forest cabins are situated side by side in the heart of the hunting ground, about 200 meters from the water. In 2021, in collaboration with the Norwegian Directorate for Nature Management, we removed a Sitka spruce forest between the farmstead and the lake. The cleared area is now turning green and becoming attractive to deer. One building replaces (and is an exact replica of) an older log building from the 1800s. Husasnotra (Nordmøre Museum) crafted and assembled the cabin using local timber. Here you live surrounded by stunning log walls, with a wood stove, dining table, and two comfortable beds. Shared outhouse and outdoor kitchen with the second cabin, a 1950s-style hut with 4 beds across two bunk beds. Simple standard without electricity or running water, but in fantastic surroundings.

Cider Tasting
We produce Nordmøre apple cider using the champagne method. We invite you to taste three different ciders while we share stories about apples, production, our history, and notably, the history of the Norwegian wild apple.
