Come hunt forest birds with your barking bird dog or with a pointing dog.
Forest bird hunting for black grouse and capercaillie on excellent bird grounds near Galhammar, Svenstavik. Willow grouse can also be found on the property. Accommodation is available in the middle of the hunting grounds.
The hunt: Here your group hunts privately on 1,600 hectares (16,000 decares). Fine and well-arranged terrain with various types of forest stands.
You can hunt on your own or with a dog handler.
A dog handler with a barking bird dog costs 9,000 SEK/day.
Joy Event cares about sustainable hunting on our lands and therefore has a bag limit of 2 birds per hunter per day.

About JOY Event
The idea and foundation of my business is to combine hunting and outdoor life with the themes of health and well-being. My vision is that all people should be able to feel joy every day. Life is to be enjoyed!
Since its start in September 2009, Joy Event has strategically worked to market hunting as a health experience by adding soft values to the hunt. To me personally, hunting means health, and through my concept, I want to spread this message to others.
I am a trained authorized hunting guide through NJA (Norrlands Jakt Arrangörer) and have many years of experience in various forms of hunting. My primary hunting expertise is hunting with pointing dogs. I have three setters named Luna, Minerva, and Wixen, and a pointer named Frida. During high season, I collaborate with other dog handlers who guide alongside me. The guides I hire for my hunts are professional, cheerful, and hunting-obsessed women and men who all have different dog breeds for the purpose, which means you can also hunt over breeds such as Vorsteh, Pointer, and Brittany, among others.
In addition to pure hunting arrangements, I offer exciting combinations for hunting where health is the theme. Examples of this include Hunting and Yoga and Hunting and Spa. In certain combination arrangements, I collaborate with different partners for the purpose.

Galhammarstugan
Rent our cozy log cabin located in complete seclusion in the forest. The cabin is situated approximately 4 km from the community of Svenstavik. Very basic standard. Three beds with mattresses. Bring your own sleeping bags and pillows. Gas stove with two burners. Fireplace for heating. Outhouse. Road access all the way to the cabin during the snow-free period from May to November, provided you have a high-clearance vehicle with 4-wheel drive.
Bring your own firewood and potentially a gas heater for extra warmth.
It is also possible to stay here during the winter; however, there is no road access all the way to the cabin (ski or snowmobile transport).
