Ice Fishing and Northern Lights – Three Romantic Days on Finnmarksvidda

Take someone you love on an extraordinary ice fishing trip. On Finnmarksvidda, three days of snow-covered landscapes, silence, and the excitement of a tug beneath the ice await you. When darkness falls, the northern lights may dance across the sky, making the experience even more magical.

The adventure begins with transport by snowmobile and sled out to the camp. Waiting here is the Aurora Sled – a unique accommodation with a spacious double bed and private dining area. You will live close to nature, with the plateau and the winter sky right outside. The camp also has heated toilet facilities.

Days are spent on the ice, where you try your fishing luck for trout and Arctic char. With the possibility of trout weighing up to four kilograms, a gentle tug can be the start of a real fight. The fishing is adapted to your wishes, and it is also possible to try for perch, pike, and burbot.

Between bites, there is time to enjoy the silence and just be together. In the evening, you can retreat into the Aurora Sled, or step out into the winter darkness to look for the northern lights. With clear skies and a little luck, you will witness a light show you won't soon forget.

Food is included, with pre-prepared meals delivered to the camp. This is arranged in advance so that everything is ready for your stay (NB: dinner on the day of arrival depends on the arrival time). Coffee, tea, bread, biscuits, milk, juice, and spreads are also included.

The stay lasts for three days and is designed for two people. A romantic break with ice fishing, proximity to nature, and quality time together.

Recommended fishing gear: Bring equipment that can handle large fish. If you use nylon as your main line, we recommend 0.35–0.40 mm. If you do not have your own equipment, you can borrow from us.
