Ptarmigan hunting on private land – an unforgettable hunting experience in the Åre mountains
During the best hunting weeks of the autumn, we offer an exclusive hunting experience on the scenic lands around Edefjället in Åre municipality. Together with experienced guides and pointing dogs, we hunt on private land with a good population of ptarmigan – a dream for the ptarmigan hunter.
What the hunting days look like
Guests prepare their own simple packed lunch to carry in their backpack. We drive in separate cars for about 30 minutes, depending on the accommodation, to the hunting grounds and hunt our way through the day. We take a break for the packed lunch, which we enjoy out on the mountain.
We care about a strong and sustainable ptarmigan population – therefore, a bag limit of 4 ptarmigan per hunter per day applies.
Accommodation
Accommodation can be arranged by agreement, either at the charming Kolåsens Fjällhotell, where you stay comfortably in single or double rooms with full board, or in a rented cabin. The cost for accommodation is additional.
